New Friends

April 11, 2007

I have to say, this blogging thing is very cool.  I have already made a new friend that I expect to have for a very long time.  I may never meet her face to face, but I think she is pretty fabu.  (XOXO Selena!)

I am working on some new stuff for you, I won’t tell you what it is.  And, I am waiting to hear if I get accepted to a team on an up and coming site.  (Keep your fingers crossed for me!)  I have been turned down several times, for other teams and it is beginning to feel like a pattern.  I am going to post some new LO’s tonight, so stop back by and leave me some constructive criticism.  I can take it.  I really do want some guidance.  I mean, my LO’s look good to me, but maybe someone could give me some ideas that I haven’t had?!?!?

My oldest son had a school program last night.  I can’t tell you how much fun it was.  Pics are hard to get in the cafetorium, due to extremely poor lighting, you can’t get close enough to the stage, etc., you know it’s a CAFETORIUM!!!  While I was sitting there, a very attractive lady came and sat next to me.  She was talking to a man across the aisle and said something about working at the hospital.  For some reason I thought, I think that is Jan.  So, I asked her name and she said, “Jan”, and then I said her last name.  She got wide eyed and said “Yes! Who are you?”  I explained that she was my nurse when I gave birth to my oldest son, who was in the program.  She couldn’t believe it.  I told her what my name was at the time, and that she had stayed with me all day and was absolutely wonderful.  She actually remembered me.  Keep in mind that this was September 2, 1998.  She remembered that we lived in White Oak, and that my parents had sent her flowers, and that I had a really hard time getting the little guy out into the world.  I almost cried, she was so sweet then and so sweet now.  I introduced Matt to her after his program and was a little gentleman.  She said that he is beautiful.  (And, he is, of course, see my LO’s below.) I want to get her address and send her a note.  It can mean so much when someone you have touched in the past, reaches out to let you know how they affected your life.  I have told others that unless they had Jan as their L&D nurse, they didn’t have a good one because she is the best.  I thought it was so neat to see her.

I wanted to share a nice story with you all. Have a great and wonderful day!
