The verdict is….

It’s bronchitis!  Never had it before, in my life!  The doctor gave me 3 scripts, and one of them really helped me sleep last night.  I am just ready for the aggravation of the cough to be gone.  Thanks for all of your kind comments and thoughts.  I hope everyone is enjoying the mini kit!  I have now developed it into a full kit.  It will be for sale soon, but I won’t say where just yet.  Everything is not yet finalized, but I am really excited!  See you soon……

Did you notice?……………………………..I changed my tag on my kit.  I think it is much more ME.  You know, fun, whimsical, silly, all that good stuff.  The other one was way too, oh I don’t know, stuffy, antiquey.  I didn’t like it at all.  I love pink and green together.  If I had a girl her room would be those colors. But, alas, that has not been my fate. (Said in a very Shakesperean voice.) Okay, I’m really getting goofy now.  That means turn off the ‘puter, go take more medicine and get ready for bed.  I think I shall retire early this evening. (Again, with the Shakesperean voice!)

Think of me tomorrow as I have a doctor’s appointment after lunch.  I think that I either have pneumonia or bronchitis, neither of which do I wish to have.  I have been coughing for about a month, my previous doctor did absolutely nothing for me.  I don’t feel sick, just sound horrible and can’t sleep.  I’ll let you know what happens!

AWOL!!

Yes, I have been AWOL!!  I actually have just been making myself spend a little less time at the ‘puter in the past couple of weeks.  No reason in particular, just that I wanted to play outside with the kids, read books with them, COOK, snuggle with the hubby, you know, fun stuff.  Not that what I do  at the ‘puter isn’t fun, because, OMG it IS!!  But, time can really get away and before you know it, the kids are grown!  What time I have spent at the ‘puter, I have been doing LO’s for Gretchen’s CT and designing.  I really want to get my portfolio up.  I have submitted designer apps to 2 sites.  One is exclusive, but I am not sure about the other.  I have also been perusing the sites for commercial use items to assist in my designing.  I recently signed up at Atomic Cupcake and I have dl’ed ALL of their actions.  They are awesome!!!  Now that I have a 250 GB EHD, I can really get after it!!  I plan to do some more tonight and hopefully there will be a new freebie in it for all of you.  Everyone that has visited my little corner of Blogworld has been so sweet.

Something that I forgot to tell you…

I have this thing that I tell my boys…my oldest is 8 and I tell him that he’s “my favorite 8 year old boy in the whole world”. The same for my 6 year old and I will do the same with the youngest.  Matt, the 8 year old, has told me many times that I am “the best mom anybody could ever have,” or “the best mom in the whole world”. How’s that for sweet? At Matt’s school they have a school “store”.  They earn points on a daily basis and can then spend their points at the store.  He has come home with some pretty neat things that he has bought.  The neatest thing, though, is when he presented me with a pretty pink frame that says “Best Mom” at the top.  I almost cried right there in the middle of the school hallway.  He said it cost me a whole 20 points!! That’s a lot of points.  I hugged him and hugged him with him fighting me off the whole time because we were still at school and someone might see!!  I told him that it would always be one of my favorite things because he got it for me all by himself.  This is the same boy who didn’t even want to sign my birthday card last year.  He is very closed with his feelings and doesn’t like to be overt with his emotions. 

Kids are the best.  When they do something like that, without any prompting from anyone, it will just about break your heart with the emotions it brings on.  I love my boys. I will post a photo of the frame so you all can see how sweet it is.

Just some minor ramblings…..

I don’t watch the news, so I was little late on the VT shootings.  After several years of being sick of what the media chooses to report and the way they choose to report it, I quit watching.  I do, however, read some newpapers and listen to a few talk radio programs.  My heart goes out to all who have been affected by this horrible tragedy.  I attended The University of Texas at Austin in the early ’90’s.  UT had previously been the site of the worst shooting incident in US history.  There is still evidence of that shooting on the campus today.  Bullet holes are visible in the Tower and no one is allowed on the observation deck of the Tower.  VT and the surrounding area will be affected by this tragedy for many, many years to come.  Our family is praying for everyone.

DH is taking a trip this weekend with his dad and brother, so guess what I will be doing…SCRAPPING.  Of course, I need to do some housework, too. (UGH) The baby and I will spend the day together, but when he is napping and after he goes to bed at night, I will fire up the ‘puter!!  I need to do a few LO’s and I want to work on some designing.  I really have wanted to do one of the DigiDare’s this week, but I have not had the time, and will not until this weekend.  We have church group tonight, tomorrow is T-ball practice and then, here is the weekend. 

I have not done much cooking lately and I think my family thinks I have forgotten how.  Spring is just so busy and everyone on different schedules, I don’t see the point.  In a couple of weeks, it will be our turn to bring dinner for our church group.  DH said that he wants to cook.  Yes, my DH cooks and does it well.  I will be making a dessert.  I don’t know what it will be, though.  I know everyone on the church group will be amazed that DH is the one who prepares the actual meal.  He does have a tendency to burn things if he cooks on the stove. He is good with ovens and grills.  So, I kind of stay close when he uses a burner on the stove.  He has ruined a couple of skillets.(!)

I want to get a freebie or two out to everyone soon, so keep on coming back and you never know what you might find.  I will be taking the older ones down in a couple of weeks, so get those while you can!

If you want to just escape and read beautiful words, you should visit the Chin’s blog: Girl, Always Caught in Midthought at www.nevergirl.wordpress.com .  She has a way with words that can make you see what she is seeing, laugh and cry all at the same time.  It is really lovely and I plan to visit often.

Great people

While I was at my parents house over the weekend, I checked in on my blog.  I was thrilled to see that I had so many visitors!  It is so much fun to read everyone’s comments and to know that some of you will come back often.  I only checked it once while I was there, they are on dial-up and I just can’t deal! 

I have had this ridiculous cough for over a week now, so it was kind of nice to have my mom fuss over me.  She said that she didn’t even sleep that night worried that I was going to get worse. So sweet. I guess you never stop worrying about your babies!  My babies had a great time visiting Gigi and Papa.  They love going because my dad will let them drive his work truck on the country roads, play in his shop, and do all sorts of things that I would never let them do.  That is what grandparents are for, though. 

I will be working on some new freebies for you, but I am not sure when they will be up.  We have a pretty full week, so just bear with me!
